How it works
The device penetrates and creates pinpoint holes (more like opening the pores) into the skin with thousands of microscopic needle-columns, which triggers the skin’s natural repair process, as in case of injury, by production of collagen and elastin. As the skin regenerates in the process of healing, new skin cells are formed and blood supply is enhanced. In the first weeks the skin will normally look brighter and more vibrant and about six weeks later the regeneration and repair process will tighten the skin and reduce pigmentation. The process will continue over the following months, providing natural and long lasting enhancement. Up to five sessions, six weeks apart, are usually recommended. These sessions gently remind our skin to continue the healing process not only to healthy levels but also to the cosmetic heights.
Will I experience pain or bleeding?
Neither of these will happen; all you will feel is a tickling sensation. In one process of Derma Rolling, a local anesthetic cream is used prior to the dynamic use of Derma Roller once a week. The second method involves using the device with slight pressure up to five times per week. There might be a temporary reddening of the skin for an hour or so after treatment and it can give a sensation similar to mild sunburn. Use of sunscreen or a sunblock after the session is recommended.
Stretch Marks
Stretch marks, a result of sudden stretching of the skin, occur in pregnancy (in 75% to 90% of women), adolescent growth spurts, rapid muscle growth, weight loss or gain. Derma Roller stimulates the production of new collagen fibres and elastin in the skin, to remove these stretch marks.
Acne Scars
Not only the acne scars, even the surgery, chicken pox, burn and other scars can be removed, and the duration of the treatment depends upon severity of scarring.
